Executive Leadership

Founder & Managing Partner - Bridget Rollins

Bridget Rollins has been deeply ingrained in the field of veterinary medicine for most of her professional career. Her strong interpersonal skills had enabled her to efficaciously direct multiple veterinary practices through significant change. While stationed in the VMTH-ICU at UC Davis, Bridget refined her skills in effective multi-tasking under highly stressful environments with constantly changing priorities. Her aptitude in quickly assessing an issue and following through with impactful decisions spurred her recruitment to one of the industry leaders in laboratory diagnostics, where she held tenure for over twelve years. While serving under this industry leader, Bridget established a strong rapport with the veterinary community, developed talent internally, and made substantial operational changes that were implemented on a national level.

In 2015, Bridget graduated from Pepperdine University, earning an Executive Master’s degree in Business Administration. Throughout the course of her MBA studies at Pepperdine, Bridget’s entrepreneurial spirit was awakened. In 2016, Bridget respectfully declined the role of Vice President for the aforementioned industry leader who carried a fiscal valuation over $5 billion, to pursue her dream of entrepreneurial freedom. BlackWidow Biz, LLC is one of Bridget’s first startup ventures and a genuine brand that she will personally help drive towards taking a dominant role within the active wear and urban apparel industries.  As the founder of this company, Bridget embraces her leadership role with an unrelenting tenacity founded on the belief that big risks reap big rewards and that sometimes you have to be willing to lose it all in order to level up.

Founder & Managing Partner - Erick Kandl

Erick Kandl brings over 20 years of professional experience spanning multiple industries. His roles always included analysis and professional communication responsibilities.

Prior to joining BlackWidow Biz, Erick served as a Systems Analyst Team Leader for Aldera, Inc. – a healthcare IT company. Before joining Aldera, Erick owned and operated Generick Ink Publishing – a book and website publishing business.

One of Erick’s greatest passions in life is roller derby. He went to college with a skater from the DuPage Derby Dames and she posted details about an intraleague bout back in January 2012. That was the first live bout Erick ever saw and he fell in love with the sport by half-time. The Dames had a page in their bout program asking for volunteers, including referees. Erick contacted his friend for more information and dropped in on a practice to talk to the Ref crew. Erick started reffing with the Dames in February 2012, helped as an NSO (Non-Skating Official) for a few bouts, and reffed his first bout in March 2012. Erick officiated women’s and men’s roller derby for six seasons and retired in 2017. Erick was affiliated with the DuPage Derby Dames and worked with many other local leagues during his career such as the Aurora 88s , Illiana Derby Dames , South Shore Roller Girls , and Chicago Bruise Brothers .

Erick earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Illinois State University.
